Marimekko fabrics

I think that I am in love with all things Marimekko. I got these fabrics today- i'm going to make a dress out of the rosy one (although i am quite scared of cutting the fabric!) and i'm not sure what the happy faces one will be yet.

The colours and shapes that Marimekko use are wonderfully inspirational- all fabrics should be this colourful!

Somerset House- Pick Me Up- Nobrow

Went to Pick Me Up at Somerset House today- there were some amazing things! The Nobrow area looked brilliant :) Below is a photograph of mug they made from cardboard with a giant fabric tea bag that i helped sew up for them :D

Nobrow have some really amazing books- i love the screen printed ones- anyone in London should definitely check out their shop!

It has taken me four years to discover that I was mentioned in the artwork for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs -Show Your Bones!

aha will teach me just to dowload stuff and not get the CD.

It was a competition to design the flag for the album, I assumed that as I hadn't won I would never see it again...but there is a teeny picture of it inside hoorah! :P

I was pretty excited yesterday :P

Craftacular, London, 12th December 2009

Today was the Craftacular fair :D

It was wonderful :) There were so many gorgeous things!

I've taken a photo of my favourite buys on one of my chairs...(pretty awful quality sorry!)

1. Tatty Devine - had a brilliant tombola, I was lucky enough to get one of their lolly brooches hoorah!

2. Little doodles- I think that this lady is super talented. I bough one of her christmas cards as it made me smile and a necklace featuring a very dashing bird :)

3. The Cat in the Shoe - I think that the stuff on their stall was wonderfully unique. I love the long spindly legs on this doll. Marvellous.

4. Hannah Zakari - I bough a few bits from her at the last Craftacular, and today she had a lovely collection of things to sell. I bought the little bunny figurine by Joanna Mendicino (sorry, its not come out to clearly!) So cute!

5. And lastly...the crown was bought for me by my boyfirned a few days ago...ace, eh?
